活动背景

Recently, the Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of US implemented a series of targeted updates to its export controls as part of BIS’s ongoing efforts to protect U.S. national security and foreign policy interests. These updates have a significant impact on Chinese enterprises, especially those in semi-conductor industries, emerging industries and other related field. How to understand and respond to these newly issued rules is very important to Chinese import & export enterprises. 

Based on this, Ficient Global will hold the webinar “Interpretation and Practice of U.S. Export Control/Sanctions”. Director - Export Controls, Sanctions & Trade

Shaunean advises clients on complex export controls and sanctions matters including export classification and license determinations, deemed export analyses from technology transfers, encryption controls, enhanced due diligence, internal investigations, and preparing voluntary disclosures to regulators. She supports clients with the design, implementation, and enhancement of export compliance and sanctions programs including drafting compliance manuals, watchlist tools, and classification/licensing procedures.


Julie Zhu

Director - Export Controls, Sanctions & Trade

Julie Zhu is a Director in the Export Controls, Sanctions & Trade practice within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment of FTI Consulting, and she is based in Shenzhen. Julie specializes in regulatory compliance including export controls, sanctions and anti-money laundering. Based on Julie’s enterprise experience, she has been able to assist clients with compliance risk identification and the execution of the build-out of compliance programs.
