Export Control Regulations and Practice of Asia-Pacific Countries (India, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia)

活动背景

Export controls are the laws and regulations made by the state for the export of commodities in order to control export countries and export commodities for the purpose of political, economic, military and foreign policies. In fact, most Chinese companies are only vaguely familiar with export control regulations. But the incident of ZTE’s export sanctions made them aware that the consequences of violating export controls or sanctions are tremendously high and include fines,imprisonment and/or reputational damages. 2018 has been an active year in Asia Pacifc export controls and 2019 will continue that trend. Staying up to date with export controls and sanctions should be a top priority for any company trading globally.

Following the very popular and successful “Export Control Regulations and Practice of Asia-Pacific Countries” last year, and in order to meet the needs of participants, Ficient Global will expand the course to two days and cover two more countries this year. This unique course will provide a comprehensive overview of the export controls and compliance requirements for APAC countries including India, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.The course will be dedicated to helping participants to develop or enhance their APAC export compliance program.

Highlights

◆ The course will highlight the scope of each country’s export control system, breakdown national regulations, and provide practical tips on determination of strategic goods and permit application.
◆ A 1-hour practical workshop will be arranged at the end of each day of presentation. Participants can apply what they learnt and also engage in discussions.
◆ Emphasizing the sharing and analysis of practical cases, from practical view. The content will be systematized but not boring. It will be different from the teaching way of traditional theories but pay more
attention to practical operation and application.
◆ Strictly limit the number of attendees to ensure that the quality of each participant's learning, and also allow the participants to fully interact with each other to share both their problems in the work and successful experience.

Mr. ARBOLEDA
Senior Manager, International Trade Compliance, Global Operations, one of the world top 500 enterprises
Mr. Arboleda provides export controls and sanctions advice to his company's businesses in Asia. Heassists in the development ,enhancement and maintenance of internal control programs to ensure compliance with export regulations. Mr. Arboleda also oversees audit in Asia, provides training on export control issues to business stakeholders and when applicable, supports preparation of export authorizations.He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines, a Specialist Diploma in Supply Chain Management from Singapore Polytechnic and is
a candidate for Master of Strategy and Security at University of New South Wales - Canberra.
